Test Approach for Dynamic Groan Noise

    Abstract

    Recently, the vehicle manufacturing technology and the fuel efficient vehicles has been advanced. Consequently the weight of the vehicle body has been reduced and quietness of the vehicle has been increased NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) performance. In this study, Dynamic groan noise occurs when the Brake Torque Variation (BTV) between the disc and pads occur and also caused the vehicle when braking from repetitive thermal expansion of the disc and the pads surface conditions that occur due to changes in the analysis of dynamic groan noise. It is assumed to be equal to the number disc vane, the number of wave forms (BTV) is associated with each other and the shape of the surface of the pads and the disc of the thermal expansion and contraction during brake torque variation associated with the dynamic groan noise occurs. Therefore, the generation mechanism of dynamic groan noise, knew the progress in the order in which BTV occurs in the contact due to thermal deformation of the pad and the disc. This is to generate a dynamic groan noise. And, when investigating the cause of the dynamic groan noise, I know how to take advantage of the measurement sensors, more than one.
